Syus Real Estate Services BV(“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use this website to book a housing visit, why we use it, and your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Belgian law.

2. What we collect

When you book a visit we collect your name, email, phone number, the location, appointment type, date and time you choose, your preferred unit, whether you are a student, your field of study, and any notes you add. With your consent we also collect website analytics. We do not ask for special-category data (e.g. health) — please don’t enter it in the notes.

3. Why we use it and our legal basis

• Arranging, confirming and managing your visit — performance of a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
• Sending confirmations, reminders and changes by email — Art. 6(1)(b).
• Assigning an agent and planning routes, and securing the service — our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)).
• Website analytics — your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We share it only with service providers who act on our instructions: Supabase (database & storage, hosted in the EU — Ireland), Vercel (hosting), Resend (sending emails), Mapbox (location/travel calculations), and Google Analytics (only with your consent). Some are based in the United States; where data leaves the EEA we rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and/or Standard Contractual Clauses.

5. How long we keep it

• Booking & contact data: as long as necessary for the purposes above, then deleted or anonymised.

6. Your rights

You can request access to, correction or erasure of your data, restrict or object to processing, request portability, and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise a right, contact info@syushousing.be; we respond within one month. You may also lodge a complaint with the Belgian supervisory authority, the Data Protection Authority (GBA/APD), Drukpersstraat/Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels.

7. Security

We use encryption in transit and at rest, database row-level security, and role-based access controls, and we host data with reputable EU-based infrastructure.

8. Automated decisions

Our system suggests an agent for each visit, but a person reviews and confirms every assignment. We do not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about you based solely on automated processing.
